Healthcare professionals in Abu Dhabi (including Al Ain and Al Dhafra) need a license issued by DOH — the Department of Health Abu Dhabi. It's sometimes still called a HAAD license, since DOH was previously named the الجهة الصحية – Abu Dhabi (HAAD).
Yes — HAAD (الجهة الصحية – Abu Dhabi) was renamed and restructured as DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi) around 2018–2019. It's the same authority, exam, and licensing requirements under a new name, not a separate system.
The process includes a PQR eligibility assessment, DataFlow Primary Source Verification, receiving your Eligibility ID, scheduling your exam through Pearson VUE, sitting the exam, and final license issuance alongside a confirmed Abu Dhabi employer.
