  • Obstetrics & Gynaecology (~20%): Covers maternal health, prenatal pathways, labor dynamics, and structural gynaecological disorders.
  • Paediatrics & Neonatology (~15%): Emphasizes developmental milestones, common childhood pathologies, and congenital anomalies.
  • General & Subspecialty Surgery (~15%): Focuses on perioperative care, surgical principles, and acute surgical emergencies.
  • Psychiatry, Family Medicine & Public Health (~10%): Covers primary care management, mental health criteria, preventive initiatives, and medical ethics.
  • Complete Syllabus Outline:

    Module 1: Internal Medicine
      • Cardiovascular System: Acute coronary syndrome, heart failure management, valvular disorders, and dysrhythmias like Atrial Fibrillation.
      • Respiratory Medicine: Acute COPD exacerbations, asthma, pulmonary embolisms, and community-acquired pneumonia.
      • Gastrointestinal & Hepatobiliary: Peptic ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease, acute hepatitis, and liver cirrhosis.
      • Endocrinology & Metabolism: Diabetes mellitus, thyroid storms, adrenal crisis, and metabolic bone diseases.
      • Nephrology & Electrolytes: Acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and managing severe sodium/potassium imbalances.

    Module 2: General & Acute Surgery

      • Endocrine & Breast Surgery: Benign and malignant breast lesions, thyroid nodules, and parathyroid management.
      • Trauma & Fluid Resuscitation: Advanced Trauma Life Support principles, managing hemorrhagic shock, and initial burn care.
      • Perioperative Care: Post-operative fever workup, wound complications, surgical site infection prophylaxis, and anesthesia safety.

    Module 3: Paediatrics & Neonatology
      • Neonatal Medicine: Neonatal jaundice, respiratory distress syndrome, and neonatal sepsis protocols.
      • Growth & Development: Milestone deviations, nutritional deficiencies, and immunization guidelines.
