The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) is the body responsible for classifying, registering, and licensing healthcare professionals throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Whether you're a physician, nurse, pharmacist, dentist, or allied health professional, SCFHS registration (often referred to as the "Saudi Prometric" or SMLE pathway for physicians) is required before you can practice legally anywhere in the Kingdom.

SCFHS (Saudi Commission for Health Specialties) is the regulatory body responsible for classifying, registering, and licensing healthcare professionals across Saudi Arabia.
The SMLE (Saudi Medical Licensing Exam) is the standardized licensing exam physicians must pass as part of SCFHS registration. Other professions — nurses, pharmacists, dentists, and allied health — sit a separate Qualifying Exam (QE) instead. Prepare on our SMLE exam prep page.
