The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) is the body responsible for classifying, registering, and licensing healthcare professionals throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Whether you're a physician, nurse, pharmacist, dentist, or allied health professional, SCFHS registration (often referred to as the "Saudi Prometric" or SMLE pathway for physicians) is required before you can practice legally anywhere in the Kingdom.

Med Solutions Academy has supported healthcare professionals through the SCFHS classification and licensing journey — from credential verification to exam preparation — with a clear, structured path forward.

SCFHS evaluates qualifications, professional experience, and prior licensing against classification requirements (e.g., general practitioner vs. specialist vs. consultant) before you invest time and money.

SCFHS (Saudi Commission for Health Specialties) is the regulatory body responsible for classifying, registering, and licensing healthcare professionals across Saudi Arabia.
The SMLE (Saudi Medical Licensing Exam) is the standardized licensing exam physicians must pass as part of SCFHS registration. Other professions — nurses, pharmacists, dentists, and allied health — sit a separate Qualifying Exam (QE) instead.
The process starts with DataFlow Primary Source Verification, followed by creating a Mumaris Plus account and application, receiving your Eligibility Number, scheduling your exam through Prometric, and completing registration after passing.
Your SCFHS registration number is issued through the Mumaris Plus portal once your application and DataFlow verification are approved, and it's required to book your Prometric exam.
Testing windows are commonly available during the first 2-3 weeks of each month and can fill quickly — booking several months ahead of your target date is commonly recommended, especially around high-demand periods.
No — SCFHS administers different exams for different professions and classification levels, each based on its own blueprint. Our exam prep tools are organized by profession for this reason.
Timelines vary based on DataFlow verification and exam preparation, generally ranging from several weeks to a few months. We can provide a realistic estimate based on your background.
